SS25 MXB | In 2021, baseball equipment leader Marucci approached BOA to lead and develop their entry into performance footwear in the cleated and train segments - collaboratively building “greatness, from the ground up”. Baseball being an emerging, untapped global market for BOA, we began the process of vetting business, product, and performance in this category to foster a truly collaborative partnership with Marucci and re-define the power of performance footwear in baseball.

Cross-Functional Validation | Full-scale collaboration on an organization level between Partner Product Design & Innovation, Commercial, Performance Fit Lab, and Product Testing teams to validate business opportunity, product viability, performance and design opportunities. BOA performance testing of configurations in batting and throwing showed a increase in Power (energy transfer, upper body rotation, ball velocity) and Precision (stride leg stability, optimized connection with ball).

Design and Development | Utilizing industry, brand partner, BOA product and performance learnings to create meaningful product from the ground-up. Co-developing segmentation strategy for go-to-market.
